CALENDAR REMINDERS FOR CLUB SECRETARIES. WHAT TO DO AND WHEN 2008/9

11th August (Monday) Last day for Benevolent Fund donations (cheques payable to SCWBA Benvolent Fund) from clubs for recording in the 2009 Year Book. To be sent to the Benevolent Fund Secretary, Mrs Jennifer Cryer, 22 Pine Wood, Sunbury-on-Thames, Midlesex, TW16 6SG.

affiliated members, Year Book Entry Form,Officer's Cup Entry Form, Champion of
Champions' Entry Form, Bowls England Benevolent Triples Competition Entry Form and provisional
2009 Calendar sent by post to club Secretaries. All forms, to be returned to
Secretary by 31st October 2008. Order forms for tickets for S.C.W.B.A.'s Dinner and Prizegiving on Friday, 24th October 2008 will also be sent at this time; to be returned by the October Council. Forms for nationally run competitions, TLH 'Top Club' and Over 55's Singles and Pairs, the Mother and Daughter, under 25's Singles and Pairs are now sent out in September with the County Forms. The Mixed Pairs and Fours are sent direct to any competitors who have previously entered these competitions - any further forms may be obtained from the County Secretary. Completed forms should be returned to the County Secretary by the same date as the other County forms except the Mixed competitions should be sent to the Bowls England as directed. All cheques should be made payable to Surrey County Womens' Bowling Association. Except cheques for the Mixed Competitions, which should be sent to Bowls England.

1st October Last day for nominations and propositions for the 2008 Surrey A.G.M to reach the Secretary.
16th October (Thursday) at 1.00 p.m., Council Meeting at the Wimbledon Community Centre. Last opportunity to purchase Surrey and Bowls England Dinner and Prizegiving tickets.
Raffle tickets for Surrey Dinner on sale.
24th October (Friday) at 6.00 p.m. Surrey Dinner and Prizegiving - to be attended by ALL prizewinners (semi-finalists upwards except the Bowls England Benevolent Triples competition - finalists only).
31st October (Friday)) Last day for requests for Christmas parcels to Benevolent Secretary.

13th November (Thursday) at 1.15 p.m. Surrey Annual General Meeting to be held at Bourne Hall, Spring Lane, Ewell, Epsom, Surrey KT17 1UF Tel: (020) 8393 9571. Two voting delegates per club. Refreshments and parking available.

4th December (Thursday) at 1.00 p.m. Council Meeting at the Wimbledon Community Centre. Benevolent Fund Christmas parcels MUST be collected. Stamped (2nd Class) addressed envelopes for December Minutes if required before April to Assistant Secretary.
Entry forms for National Markers and Umpires Examinations available at the meeting or can be obtained from the County Secretary. Request forms for County matches sent by post, or via the Indoor Bowling Club, to all County Players during December/beginning January.
31st December Last day for Loyal Service nominations to reach the County Secretary for consideration for presentation in 2009.

County Match request Form 1 to be returned to Match Secretary by date given on form.

April 2008 Council Meeting at Wimbledon Community Centre. S.C.W.B.A. And Bowls England Year Books MUST be collected. Date and Time to be arranged. No books will be posted. Stamped (1st Class) addressed envelopes for Finals Day Programme and stamped (2nd Class) addressed envelopes for April Minutes if required before October to Assistant Secretary.
Various notices distributed - 'Surrey Competitions - What You Need to Know', Data Protection slips, Surrey Newsletter, Bowls England Newsletter etc. Application forms for Inter-Zone County games and all Patron' events; Invitations (where appropriate) to President's Day. Other material distributed at the April Council Meeting - Draw sheets for TLH Top Club Draw, Over 55's Singles and Over 55's Pairs.

N.B. All Council Meetings are held at the Wimbledon Community Centre, St Georges Road, Wimbledon. Telephoned (020) 8946 0536. Parking is available in Multi-storey car parks opposite the Centre or in the Shopping Centre by Wimbledon Station which is a 5 minutes walk from the Community Centre.
